Moody Blues Today has posted an interview with Justin on their website...very interesting reading! Check it out if you can...I think you have to log in to read it. I will type in a few quotes here, if it's OK...speaking of the 60's music scene, Justin is quoted as saying, "I'm just so glad to have been a musician in London in the Sixties; it was a time of discovery and freedom that the generation before allowed us, even though we were rebelling against them..." "There were times that were hard for me emotionally and professionally, and just making a living was sometimes difficult, but music was all I ever did and I trusted it. The industry was of course different, but playing on stage was the key to all the doors and that is still true."
When asked about modern music and if any artists stand out for him, Justin is quoted as saying, "I love today's music. So much of it is just brilliant. People are still falling in love to 'now'
music, and therefore it will stay with them, and me, forever. Do you not agree that we can all 'sus' the manufactured type 'product' music, and we all feel that sometimes music has been kind of high-jacked. But we are lucky in that we can also feel when it is real, and then it truly touches us. Maybe there's no better or worse, just different. There are so many great artists now that I always feel that if I credit some, I'm denying others, so keep searching for what makes you feel warm, sad, breathless, happy, and good. I do. After all--you found us!---And we found you! love, Justin"
Very sweet stuff, don't you think?
