Born on April 27th in Fairbanks, Alaska, Julie shared her love of music with her parents. She started playing the saxophone at the age of 9, and played classical piano at the age of 12.
She attended the University of Colorado Boulder, and afterwards moved to Hollywood to attend vocal school.
On October 17, 1999, Julie married Curtis Brengle and they reside in Los Angeles, California. Curtis is also a musician and plays piano and has Brenglewood Studios where he records and engineers. Replacing Bernie Barlow in 2006 and 2010, Julie has remained with the Moody Blues and continues to accompany Justin on his solo tours, while still working on her own projects.
